Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly and information created through your use of the Service, including:

• Account details such as name, email address, password (stored in hashed form), gender, and country
• Health and self-monitoring data such as questionnaire responses and scores, body measurements (for example circumference and weight), and daily program preferences
• Community content such as comments you post in the app
• Messages you send to the in-app assistant (Souzan), and the assistant's replies
• Device push notification tokens used to deliver reminders
• Basic account activity metadata such as last login and logout timestamps

Auth credentials and profile information may also be stored locally on your device so you can remain signed in.

How we use information

We use collected information to:

• Create and manage your account and authenticate you
• Provide app features such as questionnaires, measurements, progress tracking, reminders, and community participation
• Generate personalized guidance and respond to Souzan assistant conversations
• Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Service
• Support educational or research goals using anonymized or aggregated data that does not identify you, where applicable

Data sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only as needed to operate the Service, including with trusted service providers that process data on our behalf and subject to appropriate safeguards, such as:

• Cloud hosting and database providers that store Service data
• Artificial intelligence providers used to generate Souzan assistant responses (chat content may be processed to produce a reply)
• Knowledge-retrieval infrastructure used to ground assistant answers in clinical reference material
• Push notification delivery services that receive device tokens and notification payloads
• Email delivery providers if we send transactional messages related to the Service

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and integrity of users and the Service.

Data retention

We retain personal data associated with your account for as long as your account remains active and as needed to provide the Service. We do not automatically delete account or health data after a fixed time period while your account is open.

When you permanently delete your account (from the app or from our Delete Account page), we delete your account profile and associated Service data from our primary systems, including questionnaire responses, measurements, daily program settings, community comments, and Souzan chat history. This deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

After account deletion, limited residual copies may temporarily remain in encrypted backups, server logs, or service-provider systems used to operate the Service, and are removed or overwritten according to those systems' ordinary retention cycles. We do not keep deleted account data for continued use of the Service.

If you stop using the Service but do not delete your account, your data remains stored until you request deletion or delete the account yourself.

Data security

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect data from unauthorized access, alteration, or loss, including hashed password storage and authenticated API access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Your rights and choices

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, export, or deletion of your personal data. You can permanently delete your account and associated data from the Delete Account page or from within the app (where available). Account deletion through the website or app currently requires your email and password for verification.

You may also disable notifications in your device settings or remove locally stored login data by signing out and uninstalling the app.

Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

ILI LipoScan is for educational and self-monitoring purposes and is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care. If you believe you are experiencing a medical emergency, seek immediate professional help.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the Service after an update means you acknowledge the revised policy.
